So I am sort of regretting jumping on the Facebook wagon (might change my mind if I get business referrals that way). I've quickly connected with several people I'd lost track of, which has been really cool. Sure, it's just an Internet connection, but hey, it's nice to know they are still breathing. I'm talking former co-workers, high school classmates, a former best friend from middle school, etc. etc. Even a former boss.
But here's the thing.
So many people have Important Jobs, Look Fabulous, Take Awesome Vacations and Live In Cool Places that it's sort of a bummer. I'm not a jealous person and don't care much about material stuff. But which train did I miss? A side note is that the Fabulousness and Important Jobs don't make them sound very happy. Those who express joy are the ones with Beautiful Families, something I can relate to, for sure.
And there are a ton who are single and, at least when I knew them, didn't want to be. So I guess I took a separate train into happiness. Thankfully for me, I've found it. Even if it's on the Broke Side of the Street, the Slightly Employed Corner of the World, or Land Where The Weather Flips You Upside Down On A Daily Basis.
Lovin' the selective capital letters, canyoutell? Also like smooshing wordstogetherlikethat. Call it a virtual poetic license.
So, do you Facebook?
